Alejandra Spruill (b.1998) is a visual artist whose work weaves together darkroom prints, collages, and found materials to create tactile and whimsical compositions. Spruill’s practice embraces both the meticulous and the accidental, pushing the boundaries of photography through experimentation with materiality.

Spruill holds a Bachelor of Arts in Visual Media Arts from Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts and received a Juris Doctor from University of Massachusetts School of Law, rising to the Bar in 2023.

She is currently the Jill Slosburgh-Ackerman Honorary Advisor on the Board of Advisors at Artists for Humanity, a teen-focused, Boston-based nonprofit of which she is an alum. She further serves on the In-Sight Photography Project Board of Directors, a nonprofit committed to furthering youth enrichment through photography in Brattleboro, Vermont.

Spruill is a native of the Roxbury neighborhood of Boston now living and practicing in Orange, Massachusetts.
